Joplin Fire Department Employment Requirements


 

 

All new fire personnel must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Missouri Certified Firefighter 1 and 2 or certification in Firefighter 1 and 2 from an
    IFSAC state or ProBoard
  • Missouri Licensed Emergency Medical Technician or National registered Emergency Medical Technician
  • Possess a valid Missouri Drivers License

    • Currently no New Firefighter testing process is scheduled. To be place on the mailing list for future testing proceedures please contact the City of Joplin Human Resources department at 417-624-0820 Ext 429.
