Administration Division: Headed by Chief Mitch Randles with overall responsibility for department direction and management.
Operations Division: Headed by Chief Jim Perkins, Three Battalion Chiefs are responsible for the three individual shifts which perform the day to day operations and emergency responses.
Prevention Division: Headed by Fire Marshal Dale Brooks, who is responsible for all aspects of fire prevention and public fire safety education, code enforcement and fire investigations.
Training Division: Training Chiefs Mike Redshaw and Scott Cranford handle various aspects of training for the Joplin Fire Department. The Training Division handles training ranging from basic firefighting skills to officer-level training, technical rescue, and hazardous materials training, including hosting courses that result in Missouri Division of Fire Safety and IFSAC (International Fire Service Accreditation Congress) certification. The Joplin Fire Department is also a Missouri Bureau of EMS licensed training entity to provide up to EMT-Paramedic CEU’s.
Emergency Management Division: Headed by Keith Stammer, who is responsible for all aspects of the all-hazard emergency operations plan..
